Amanda Scoby Named Bank’s Chief Risk Officer

 Bellingham, WA – Peoples Bank announced the promotion of Amanda Scoby to Senior Vice President, Chief Risk Officer. In this role, Amanda chairs the Bank’s operational risk committee and is responsible for overall enterprise risk management. Amanda joined Peoples Bank in 2013 and has served as the Bank’s Director of Audit for the last eight years.

Amanda is committed to ensuring the Bank has proper oversight and internal controls in place to mitigate risk and vulnerabilities that could potentially impact business performance. Amanda was awarded the Peoples Bank Integrity Leadership Award in 2015.

“I deeply believe that part of serving our community, our customers, and our employees includes deploying risk management measures that ensure the continued success of the Bank,” said Amanda.
Amanda is a certified public accountant and an honors graduate of Texas A&M, with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Science in Finance.
