Peoples Bank Celebrates Grand Opening of New Edmonds Financial Center
Edmonds, WA – September 18, 2019 – To celebrate the grand opening of its new Edmonds branch office located at 201 Main Street, Suite 101, Peoples Bank will hold an open house on Wednesday, September 25 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Members of the community are invited to stop by and enjoy food and drinks from Alexa's Cafe and Catering, locally-produced wine from Arista Wine Cellars, and live music performed by Arcobaleno Strings. Peoples Bank staff will be on hand to lead tours of the new branch and share information about the Bank’s full relationship banking services.
“We are grateful for the warm welcome we received from the community when we opened our first temporary branch location in Edmonds in 2016,” said Vern Woods, Peoples Bank Edmonds branch manager. “Our new, permanent location is more than triple the size of our former office, which enables us to better serve customers. As we’ve demonstrated over the past three years, Peoples Bank is here to invest in the community long term — by hiring locally, supporting local civic and business organizations, sponsoring community events, and volunteering our time and expertise.”
Woods has been a part of the Edmonds banking industry for more than 20 years and is active in the community. He oversees a staff of four full time experienced bankers, along with a commercial loan officer, a mortgage loan officer, a maritime loan officer, and a financial consultant. Branch hours of operation are Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Located on the site of the former Edmonds Post Office, the branch occupies the ground floor of a newly built 21-unit multi-family mixed-use building and offers designated customer parking that is level with the backdoor entrance for easy access. The office features a warm and inviting color palette, as well as artwork commissioned by local artists. A vibrant painting of the Edmonds ferry by Camano Island artist Jack Gunter is a focal point.
The branch also offers brand new ATM technology designed to protect customers from fraudulent electronic skimmers, and it was designed with energy efficiency in mind – including motion detection lighting, insulated window glass, and electrical outlets that turn off at night to conserve energy. Finally, a ten-person community conference room, including a smart table connected to a 65” screen for digital presentations, is available to the public to use free of charge during and after business hours.
Peoples Bank is uniquely positioned to serve the Edmonds market by offering the resources of a larger bank, including sophisticated and secure online and mobile banking products, with an attitude that is focused on addressing the specific banking needs of the Edmonds community. Peoples Bank proudly supports the Cascadia Art Museum, Edmonds Arts Festival, Edmonds Chamber of Commerce, Foundation for Edmonds School District, and Snohomish Chapter of the American Red Cross.
