Brett Cheney - Vice President, Commercial Banking Officer
Seattle, WA – February 27, 2020 – Peoples Bank is pleased to welcome Brett Cheney as Vice President, Commercial Banking Officer for the King Commercial Banking Group. Based at the Ballard Financial Center, Brett brings nearly a decade of experience in the financial services industry with a specialization in the maritime and commercial fishing industries.
Raised on a row crop farm in Southern Idaho, Brett brings his personal experience in agriculture to the maritime industry. “Like agriculture, the maritime industry is a capital-intensive business with commodity pricing,” says Brett. “Many of these businesses are owned by individuals who are personally vested in the success of the operation for themselves and successive generations. By bringing my in-depth knowledge of commercial fishing, I can be a valuable partner and resource to our customers.”
Brett holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and entrepreneurship from the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University.
