Peoples Bank will hide 50 blue pigs throughout Fairhaven for a May 26 community treasure hunt in celebration of the Ski to Sea race.

These little piggies are heading to the end of Ski to Sea in Fairhaven and one of them will be golden for the lucky finder who has a clue.

Bellingham-based Peoples Bank is launching a community treasure hunt to celebrate the 93-mile team relay race, which goes from the Mt. Baker Ski Area to Marine Park in Fairhaven.

The treasure hunt is modeled after the bank’s Pigs in Parks campaign, Peoples said in an email to The Bellingham Herald announcing the treasure hunt.

Fifty blue commemorative piggy banks will be hidden throughout Fairhaven and down to Marine Park on race day, which is Sunday, May 26.

Each blue piggy bank contains a clue leading to the location of one golden pig and its $500 prize.
