September 15, 2016
To celebrate the opening of its new Everett flagship location at 2702 Colby Avenue, Peoples Bank will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, September 15th, from 4:30pm – 6:30pm. Lanie McMullin, Economic Development Director with the City of Everett, Patrick Pierce, President and CEO of The Economic Alliance of Snohomish County, and Charles LeCocq, Chairman of the Board & Chief Executive Officer of Peoples Bank, will discuss Peoples Bank’s commitment to the economic health and growth of the Everett community and greater Snohomish County. This includes the significant investment in its new flagship and the positive long-term impact on the downtown core. Customers, neighborhood businesses and other guests in attendance will have an opportunity to network and build business relationships, as well as test drive many of Peoples Bank’s sophisticated mobile and online banking technologies.
“We are proud to be the home of Peoples Bank’s new flagship branch,” said Lanie McMullin, Economic Development Director with the City of Everett. “Peoples Bank is a leader in innovative banking technology, a catalyst for business growth, and an integral thread in the tapestry of our community.”
Peoples Bank selected downtown Everett for the $3.3 million flagship financial center, completed in in July 2016, because of expected growth and strong community bank support, along with the ability to attract top tier bankers who are experts in their field. Snohomish County is the third largest FDIC insured deposit market in the state, with Everett representing a $2.2 billion deposit market which is expected to grow three to five percent annually over the next decade.
“Our new flagship branch reflects the Bank’s commitment to stimulating the local economy and deepening our ties to Everett and Snohomish County. We are well-positioned to develop long-term relationships with local commercial and retail banking customers because everything we do is backed by individuals with professional expertise,” said Tony Repanich, Executive Vice President, Chief Retail Banking and Marketing Officer at Peoples Bank. “Today’s ribbon cutting event celebrates our new flagship, as well opens the door for new business relationships and partnerships to emerge across the community.”
The new financial center offers products and services that address the needs of individuals and small to mid-sized businesses. Services range from college savings accounts and buying or renovating a home, to expanding a business, or succession planning and retirement accounts. The branch is staffed by a team of 13 experienced banking employees who serve as financial advisors for clients. Experts include residential banking advisors, a commercial loan officer, a mortgage loan officer, and a financial consultant. Additional bankers will be hired as the branch grows.
Local contractors and subcontractors were retained for the project including Dykeman Architects and Gaffney Construction, which were responsible for the design and construction of the 13,000 square foot branch.
Passport to Technology
Attendees at Thursday’s event will be able experience first-hand the Bank’s investment in leading-edge Remote Banking solutions. Technology stations will feature Touch ID, Mobile Banking, and various pay options such as Bill Pay, Apple Pay and “People Pay”- an easy, quick and convenient way to pay people directly anytime from a smart phone or computer. Visitors collecting stamps at each station will be eligible to win an Amazon Echo digital personal assistant.
Peoples Bank has the resources of a larger bank, including the latest and most sophisticated and secure technology for online and mobile banking for personal or business customers. While some banks have nearly all but replaced human interaction with technology, Peoples Bank pairs the latest technology with bankers who sincerely care about the needs of customers, and are empowered to deliver a higher level of service.
