Peoples Bank Deepens Investment in Everett with Opening of New Flagship Location
July 25, 2016
To celebrate the opening of its new Everett flagship location at 2702 Colby Avenue, Peoples Bank will hold a community ice cream social on Thursday, July 28th
, from 1pm to 3pm. Members of the community are invited to tour the facility, meet the team of experienced bankers, and learn more about Peoples Bank’s full line-up of services for personal and business banking customers. Branch hours of operation are Monday through Friday 9:00am to 6:00pm.
Construction of the new Everett Financial Center began in August 2015. Supporting the economic health of the Everett community, local contractors and subcontractors were retained for the $3.3 million project. Dykeman Architects and Gaffney Construction were responsible for the design and construction of the 13,000 square foot branch. A new 40 foot long skylight extends natural light to the interior of the building and is positioned over a central staircase allowing light to transfer to the basement level. The interior features a customer lounge with a video monitor to facilitate collaborative meetings, two conference rooms and offices for 12 lenders. The exterior of the building is clad in glazed brick, metal panel and features a new metal canopy.
Showcasing Peoples Bank’s longstanding commitment to the arts, the new Financial Center also features work by local artists including Paul Vexler and Jack Gunter, coordinated by the Schack Art Center. A sculpture by Will Robinson was commissioned by Peoples Bank and sits near the corner of Colby and Everett, supplementing the City’s public art program.
“Our new flagship location in Everett is a clear reflection of our commitment to supporting the communities in which we do business,” said Natalie Witney, Peoples Bank Assistant Vice President and Everett Branch Manager. “This is evident through the financial services we provide that meet the unique needs of our personal and business banking customers, as well as through our hiring practices and longstanding dedication to community service.”
Witney will oversee an expanded team of 13 experienced banking employees, with additional support from Peoples Bank headquarters for training, marketing, human resources and operations. On-site staff includes residential banking advisors, a commercial loan officer, a mortgage loan officer, and a financial consultant. Additional bankers will be hired as the branch grows.
Last year Peoples Bank employees in Everett donated nearly 100 volunteer hours to local organizations through the Bank’s corporate giving program. Peoples Bank is also a major sponsor of local events and organizations throughout Snohomish County, including the Providence Foundation Festival of Trees, the Everett AquaSox, the Boys and Girls Club of Snohomish County and the Village Theater.
