or call 1-877-IDTHEFT. This site allows you to place a fraud alert and obtain your credit report to verify the activity. It also allows you to place an ID Theft alert at all three credit bureaus and provides information on filing an ID theft report with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and your local police department. Even if you do not detect any compromise of your bank account, it is important to notify Peoples Bank at 1-800-584-8859 so we can place proactive alerts on your account.
Unauthorized electronic transactions.
If you find a transaction you did not authorize, contact us at 1-800-584-8859, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Saturday between 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. If you provide verbal notice, you may be required to provide a signature and/or further information to assist us in our inquiry within ten (10) business days to continue the investigation. If you do not notify us within sixty (60) days after the statement was transmitted to you, you may not receive credit for the disputed transaction(s).
Notify us immediately at 1-800-584-8859 of any counterfeit or forged checks or other unauthorized activity on your account. If you provide oral notice, you will be required to provide a notarized affidavit of forgery to assist us in our investigation.

If you believe your ATM card, debit card, credit card or Personal Identification Number (PIN) has been lost or stolen, contact us immediately at 1-800-584-8859 (24 hours a day). Never give out your personal private information or passwords. Legitimate companies will never send you a request to provide your social security number, username, password or account information. Only use your user name and password on websites you have established an account with.
