East Wenatchee, WA – January 25, 2024 – Peoples Bank is pleased to announce the opening of its East Wenatchee Branch located at 337 Valley Mall Parkway. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for 5 -7 pm on Thursday, February 1, 2024, in conjunction with the Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce.
 
“Our decision to purchase property and build a new home for our East Wenatchee branch location reflects our commitment to supporting the needs of customers in the Wenatchee Valley and ongoing economic growth in the region,” said Mark Swanson, Retail Sales and Service Director at Peoples Bank. “I am also very excited to introduce our new team to the community, including Theresa Terry, our new retail branch manager, and Stacy Suydam and Bobby Black, our new commercial lenders.”
 
The new East Wenatchee branch offers a full range of personal and business banking services, real estate and commercial loan centers, as well as safe deposit boxes and a three-lane drive-thru teller.
 
Peoples Bank began serving customers in Chelan County in 2003 at its first branch in Wenatchee, which moved to what is now the Wenatchee Financial Center in 2013. The Bank opened an East Wenatchee branch at Safeway in 2004 but made the difficult decision in November 2017 to close the branch and explore opportunities to provide a more comprehensive customer experience in the area.
 
“We’ve been looking for the right location and the right opportunity to reopen the East Wenatchee branch, so when the property on Valley Mall Parkway became available, we jumped on it to build a new home to serve the banking needs of customers in East Wenatchee,” Swanson says.
 
The new East Wenatchee banking team features these experienced financial services advisors:
 

• Theresa Terry, Retail Branch Manager. Theresa has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, including 13 years in banking in both lending and retail management. Born in Eastern Washington, Theresa has been involved with several Wenatchee area nonprofits as a volunteer and board member.
• Michael Machado, Senior Vice President, Commercial Market Leader. Michael has led the commercial banking group in Chelan and Douglas Counties since 2020. He is very active in the Wenatchee Valley, serving as a member of the East Wenatchee Rotary and East Wenatchee Events Boards, the Douglas County Planning Commission, and the Columbia Valley Community Health Board.
• Stacy Suydam, Senior Vice President, Commercial Banking Officer. Stacy has worked in the commercial banking industry for 17 years. A resident of East Wenatchee, Stacy is active in the community and volunteers her time with several organizations. She is the Treasurer and Secretary of the Board for the Alatheia Therapeutic Riding Center, which provides equine-assisted services to children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities and veterans living with PTSD and civilian life adjustment challenges. In addition, Stacy serves on the finance committee for the Wenatchee Valley YMCA and coaches for the North Central Washington Volleyball Club.
• Bobby Black, Senior Vice President, Commercial Banking. With over 14 years of financial services experience specializing in commercial and industrial (C&I), commercial real estate (CRE), and agricultural lending, Bobby brings a wealth of expertise to customers in the Bank’s Chelan and Douglas County markets. Raised in the Wenatchee Valley, Bobby is very involved in the community. He currently serves on the board and as treasurer of Common Ground Community Housing Trust, which focuses on home ownership, perpetual affordability, and housing stewardship in the Wenatchee Valley.
